New leading Irish Website Launched to help and support Smokers to Quit

March 18 2004--Smokersquit.com has a smokers' forum, a live chat room, drawings by local children showing their thoughts on smoking, information on tobacco legislation, how to quit, the health effects of smoking, a smoking calculator and Vicky's Blog on Quitting. It provides information on journalist Joe Armstrong's World Health Organisation-backed new book Write Way to Stop Smoking, described by a leading doctor as the 'thinking person's guide to quitting smoking' and which the Minister of Health, Micheál Martin has said will make a 'major contribution' to smoking cessation.

It also includes an impressive library of helpful articles on smoking cessation by Joel Spitzer, with articles ranging from 'Are you a nicotine junkie?' to 'Sleep adjustments', given that quitting smoking can temporarily affect a person's sleep patterns.
